Israeli Airstrikes In The Gaza Strip Killed A Fourth Militant Commander

A fourth terrorist commander was killed by Israeli bombings in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, bringing the total number of casualties from the most recent round of combat to 25.

Israel prepared for additional rocket attacks as news of unsuccessful Egyptian efforts to mediate a cease-fire surfaced.

The violence between Israel and Palestinian terrorists in Gaza was at its bloodiest in months, and women and children were among those killed.

The inferno occurs amid rising unrest and violence that have increased over the previous year in the occupied West Bank.

The Israeli military claimed Ali Ghali, a senior commander in charge of the group’s rocket launch force, was killed when his apartment was hit during early Thursday morning operations against the Islamic Jihad militant group.

Although no organization right first identified them as members, two additional militants were also killed in the strike, according to military spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, who also stated that the rest of the facility was unharmed.

According to Hagari, “the apartment was targeted very precisely.” “I hope this reduces, strikes, and disrupts the Islamic Jihad’s rocket capabilities.”

Palestinian media says that the attacks, which killed at least two persons, including the commander, were directed at the top floor of a building in a residential complex erected by Qatar in the southern Gaza Strip.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, 25 individuals have died as a result of the violence.

Ghali, according to Islamic Jihad, was a commander in charge of its rocket squad and a member of the command structure for the organization’s armed force.

The group has stated that it will not stop firing unless Israel agrees to stop specifically targeting its militants.

A state-run Egyptian TV station said that Egypt, a frequent mediator between the sides, had arranged a cease-fire after fierce fighting on Wednesday, when missiles rained down on southern and central Israel and airstrikes pummeled Gaza.

However, the fighting continued until the early hours of Thursday, suggesting neither side was willing to back down.

The Israeli military claims that during its attacks on 150 locations, it used precision strikes to target militants, but children, including a 4-year-old, were also killed.

According to Hagari, the military spokesman, 25% of the missiles fired during this round of combat landed in Gaza, where they resulted in the deaths of at least four people, including a 10-year-old child, two 16-year-olds, and a 51-year-old male.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel had delivered the extremists a severe blow during a prime-time speech on television on Wednesday. He did add, however, that “this round is not over.”

The terrorists and those who support them are told by us: “We see you everywhere. You can’t hide, and we pick the location and hour of our attack on you,” he warned, adding that Israel will also pick the moment of calm. read full article here
